| Films, filmstills and storyboards influenced my work from the mid 70's. Actors, artists' models, artists and illustrators Frank Humphris and Denis McLoughlin can dress in costumes for their work. These artists have a cinematic style, frames look like film stills, they have landscape shots, mid shots and close ups and seen from different angles. Moments captured in film, film stills or paint. I took reference shots of my star Louise Baron, and Paul Starr and Bill Newton took shots of me in my usual location of Stenner Wood, for what is now becoming a long running romantic landscape figure based series. |
